Beyond that, he's an expert at what he does.

He has 29 years of experience as a practicing plastic surgeon and has been board certified for 26 years. Reid attended medical school at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University.

He served 27 years in the US Navy in both Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom and has been the Assistant Professor in Surgery at 2 medical schools.

Dr. Reid has now been in private practice for 20 years and was delighted when he and his lovely wife, Kathy, had the opportunity to make the permanent move to Hilton Head to provide the best in plastic surgery care to the residents of the Lowcountry.

The Reids have three children, the oldest of which is a medical resident in the southeast.

In addition to cosmetic surgery, Dr. Reid specializes in reconstructive surgery and hand surgery, rounding out a practice that goes beyond the surgical table to include a host of medical spa services.

He is an avid golfer and Tarheels fan, and plays the trombone in the Hilton Head Plantation Big Band.

Registered Nurse (RN)/Injection Specialist

Tanya Mattison, a registered nurse since 2004, has spent over a decade honing her skills in aesthetic nursing, excelling in Botox, fillers, skincare, and laser treatments. She is an injectable trainer for The Injectable Academy. Passionate and experienced, Tanya takes time to understand her clients' goals, guiding them towards achieving natural-looking results. Now joining Hilton Head Plastic Surgery & MedSpa, Tanya continues her journey of helping women look and feel their best.

Outside of her professional sphere, Tanya enjoys nurturing her two rescue dogs, engaging in peaceful gardening, and immersing herself in literature. She finds serenity by the sea and cherishes quality time with her husband. In essence, Tanya Mattison is not just an aesthetic nurse; she is a fervent advocate for natural beauty and a woman passionate about life's many pleasures.

Licensed Esthetician

Nicole is an adoptive daughter of the Lowcountry, bringing her family here because of its natural beauty and community well versed in the idea of perfection. Someone who opts to see the good in everyone and believes in finding a multitude of ways to help everyone find the best in themselves, a holistic approach to health and beauty has been her focus since being a licensed esthetician for three years. Coming from a family entrenched in the healthcare industry, she brings the added experience as a mother of two highly focused on a healthy self-image.
