As the treatment progresses, you may feel sensations that eventually subside as the area becomes numb. Some typical side effects after the treatment include temporary redness, blanching, swelling, bruising, tingling, firmness, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, or skin sensitivity. In the case of submental or submandibular area treatment, you may also experience a sensation of fullness in the back of the throat.
