MDPen MicroNeedling

MDPen Microneedling (micro-dermal needling) is a safe, minimally invasive procedure that significantly increases production of collagen and elastic, resulting in smoother, glowing, younger-looking skin.

Why should I consider Microneedling?

Microneedling is effective on all areas of the face and body, including:

  • Eyes & Mouth
  • Nose
  • Forehead
  • Acne Scars
  • Chin
  • Neck
  • Stretch Marks
  • Abdominal Scars
  • Breast Reduction Scars
  • Hips & Love Handles
  • Scalp for Hair Restoration

Before & After MDPen Treatment

How do I prepare for Microneedling?
Before the procedure, we’ll let you about ways you can prepare so you have the best possible outcome. You may need to stop taking certain medications, such as ibuprofen, acne medication, or topical retinoids well in advance of the procedure.
How Does It Work?
The MDPen is run rapidly over the skin, creating a pattern of micro channels that significantly increase the production of collagen and elastin, as well as the skin’s ability to absorb serums. The procedure also creates small ‘injuries’ that increase blood flow and growth factors in the area resulting glowing, healthy skin.
How often will I need the procedure?

To maintain the results of your treatment over time, you’ll need multiple sessions. We will advise you on the best plan of action and timing based on your individual goals.

Is it safe for all skin types?
Yes, microneedling is safe for all skin types, including ethnic skin.
What is the recovery time?
Microneedling isn’t invasive like plastic surgery, so the recovery time is minimal. Most people require very little downtime, if any at all. You may notice skin irritation and redness within the first few days following the procedure; this is a natural response to the small “injuries” made by the needles in your skin. Some people apply tinted moisturizer during the first few days as the redness dissipates. Your skin will also be more sensitive to the sun, so sunscreen is a must.
What’s the difference between the MDPen MicroNeedling and home rollers?
Microneedling is a professional procedure that’s performed in a board-certified doctor’s office only. Unlike professional microneedling, rollers hardly penetrate the skin, so you won’t achieve the same results. The punctures made during professional microneedling induce skin rejuvenation.
When will I see results?

After the procedure, your skin works fairly quickly to rejuvenate new tissue. You should see results within a couple of weeks.
