Liposuction, also known as lipoplasty, is an active and inviting body-sculpting method to remove stubborn fat unresponsive to exercise and dieting.

Our skilled surgeons can use this versatile procedure on various body areas and often perform it on multiple areas during a single operation.

By undergoing liposuction, individuals can achieve a slimmer and better-proportioned figure. It effectively targets and reduces love handles, saddlebags, double chins, bulges around the waistline, and other undesirable fatty deposits, resulting in a more attractive body shape.

Reasons for considering Liposuction:

  • Eliminate fat.
  • Create a more proportioned figure.

Liposuction is not a substitute for proper exercise and diet. Instead, liposuction is a removal process for stubborn areas where fat accumulates. Liposuction can provide a well-proportioned body appearance in combination with several body areas. Those already in better physical shape but have obstinate regions that do not respond to diet and exercise are the best surgical candidates.

General Procedure

Our experienced surgeons can perform the general procedure for liposuction using either general anesthesia, allowing the patient to sleep, or local anesthesia, which keeps the patient awake while numbing the targeted region.

Our skilled surgeons insert a narrow tube through a tiny incision to meticulously vacuum the fatty tissue beneath the skin. The surgeon employs massaging and tissue manipulation techniques to extract the fat.

Once our skilled surgeons have removed the excess fat, they close the incisions using absorbable sutures and apply a compression garment to the treated area. This garment helps control bleeding, reduce swelling, and provide support during healing.

Advancements in technology have led to the development of various liposuction techniques, such as tumescent or ultrasound liposuction. During your initial consultation, you and your surgeon can discuss and determine the best technique(s) for your specific needs.

It is an excellent method for those seeking to eliminate unattractive fatty bulges and achieve their desired body contour.

Recovery Process

The recovery process from liposuction has been significantly improved with new techniques, allowing for faster healing. The time of healing will depend on the extent of the surgery performed. It is important to follow post-operative instructions, which typically involve plenty of rest and limited activity to expedite the recovery process and reduce healing time. Depending on the area(s) targeted for liposuction, you may be required to wear a support garment for several weeks following the surgery.

We can effectively manage any minor pain experienced by the patient through the use of oral medication. While complications are rare, you can minimize potential issues by carefully adhering to the post-operative directions provided.
