A Mommy Makeover is a series of procedures designed to help women address common effects of childbearing and restore or improve pre- pregnancy appearance. After childbearing, many women are dissatisfied with their body. Pregnancy and breast feeding can have a negative effect on the breasts and abdomen. Women who have had a C-section may have a ”shelf” of loose skin above their scar. A Mommy Makeover is the surgeon’s effort to achieve pre-pregnancy form. Whatever your goals, the Mommy Makeover is all about feeling happier and getting to your ideal body.

General Procedure
A Mommy Makeover typically consists of one or more of the following procedures including breast augmentation, breast lift, tummy tuck and liposuction. Please refer to each of these in their respective section for general procedures.
Most non-surgical procedures see results within a few days to a few weeks depending on the treatment.
Recovery Process
Following your Mommy Makeover surgery, dressings or bandages are applied to your incisions. You’ll need to wear a support bra or a compression garment to minimize swelling and support our body as it heals. You may have drainage tubes placed to remove excess fluid. Patients sometimes report pain which can be treated with oral medication. Recovery can range from one to four weeks in most cases. Ask your surgeon for information about the recovery process for your specific treatments. While complications are rare, patients can minimize the risk of potential problems by carefully following the post- operative direction given after surgery to ensure a successful recovery.
